Dr. Lia Rodriguez is a board-certified pediatrician with extensive experience in community health care, clinical quality and managed care. She is passionate about improving the lives of children and their families.
Dr. Rodriguez joined CVS Health® in May 2020 and has since held several key positions, including Medical Director at Aetna Better Health, Senior Medical Director at Aetna Clinical Quality, focusing on provider designation and value-based contracting, and Chief Medical Officer at ActiveHealth Management. She currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for CVS Healthspire™ Payor Solutions, responsible for overseeing the clinical rigor and integrity of the portfolio.
Before her tenure at CVS, Dr. Rodriguez led the utilization management department at Texas Children’s Health Plan and served as the Medical Director of Pediatrics for the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Houston.
Dr. Rodriguez earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed her medical degree at the University of Miami. She then completed her pediatric residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She resides in Houston, Texas, with her husband and daughters.
