Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield
Kaitlin Bates is the manager for ARHOME quality at Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield where she oversees quality metric strategy and results. She works to address key initiatives of the Arkansas Medicaid expansion program, leading member and provider engagement efforts and collaborating with interdisciplinary internal teams as well as vendors to drive operational efficiency and strategic excellence. Kaitlin is a pharmacist that is passionate about pharmacy-related partnerships. She leads a value-based diabetes chronic condition management program, a collaboration between ABCBS and pharmacies. Kaitlin earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She previously held a clinical pharmacist position where she established a partnership with a large health system to implement a pharmacist within a primary care clinic for management of patients with diabetes and other chronic conditions, measuring success based upon quality metric improvement and cost savings.
